Lace up your skates for a good cause! Skaters of all ages are invited to bring a non-perishable food item for the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank to enter the skate-a-thon and qualify to win prizes.

Skaters ages 12 & under are challenged skate for at least 1½ hours while skaters 13 & over must skate for at least 3 hours.  Each skater who skates for these times during the 12-hour period is eligible to win a raffle for the grand prize, a $100 Visa Gift Card. Second place raffle winners receive a $25 Visa Gift Card. All skaters who participate and reach their designated time goal also receive Skate-a-thon gloves.

Skating hours do not have to be consecutive but must be completed on January 3. Registration is required and children 12 & under must have the signature of an adult on the registration form. For more information, call 330-375-2877 or 330-375-2835.

A special pre-school skate is available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1:30-2:30 pm. Pre-school age children receive a free skate rental with an adult or older sibling skate rental. Skates available for rent start at a child size 6. Young siblings are welcome on the ice but pre-schoolers must be accompanied by an adult. Please note: Accompanying adults may wear street shoes on the ice only during pre-school skate times.

• All skaters must register and wear a wristband (available at registration counter)
• Skaters under 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult
• Skaters must observe rules and obey Ice Aides at all times
• Skaters must skate in the same direction
• No horseplay
• No food or beverage permitted on the ice
• No hockey pucks or sticks permitted
• Center of rink is for lessons and practice of figure skating only
• No skates may be worn beyond changing area
• Skating lessons recommended
• Gloves, hats and/or helmets recommended
• Skating is permitted only during posted hours
